Project Title : Data Stream

Description:

The Distillery is the System responsible for the initial reformatting of large portion of Data Steam’s global information. Information collected from Suppliers on daily basis manipulated into a standard format and then uploads into DataStream mainframe system. Thus the Data Stream is responsible facilitating the flow of financial data from suppliers to mainframe.
Data providers called suppliers: 1.stock exchanges 2.Investmenst Banks 3.Analysts
Different supplier sends the files in different format. There are two types of suppliers
1. Pull Suppliers: the supplier to which data stream has to dialup using standard modem, logon and navigate the remote system to retrieve files. The Data Operation team does retrieval of the files.
2. Push Suppliers: supplier supplies the files electronically to one of our externally accessible FTP server on daily basis.
When the file is received the data operation team will execute the relevant data loader. Loader will in turns execute the reformatter exe file which written in C++ using Visual Studio 2005 IDE. The reformatter will produce file in standard format. The generated file suing FTP transfer to the production domain. The reformatter also produces error report. Files thus produced by the reformatter are transferred to mainframe through the batch files over the FTP. Mainframe ingest program will load the relevant database. Database can be dedicated supplier Database.

Quantitative Services team provides support to over two dozen capital market institutions, including several multinational bulge bracket investment banks. The team has accumulated an inventory of technical skills concentrated in three core areas: mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and programming. Technical expertise in these areas is benchmarked to proficiency in stochastic calculus/continuous time finance, statistical packages, and C++ programming, respectively. These technical tools are mixed and matched for projects across asset classes and of varying degrees of complexity.
In this Product development two teams has been involved 1.Front End Team and 2.Back End Team Front end C# team developed Excel Add-on. The excel Add-on will call the back end functionality as per user action and excel data. The Excel-Add-on contains the following options to calculate the financial data. The C++ team worked on back end functionality to calculate the user requirements as per Excel Add-On Events.

Description:

DFNet is Network Application in order ease searching and for add Blocking. The application that when a user enter a search keyword then it searches the keyword in different search engines like Google, Lycos, Yahoo etc. and displayed in a custom listctrl.
It contains two modules.

Multiple Search Engine:

1. User to select search engines.
2. User to enter a search keyword.
3. No of results to be searched in each search engine.
4. Show the status of searching.
5. Show the results in ListCtrl as the Name of the result Address and source engine name. When user
Put the Mouse over a Name of the result, the corresponding Description of the result will be shown
As a tool tip. Also when user clicks the result name then it will Show the result in Browser.

This module we filter the Advertisements in WebPages for
Fast accessing. For that we restrict The Ads tags in web pages
When it process in to a browser
