Re: IELTS WRITTING TASKS

Well Bob, number to be written in figures , i meant that the pie charts and other pictorial representations should be interpreted and the numbers in it should be compared and written if their is a drastic fall or steep rise or meagre change .or if the graph shows a constant rate ..etc...so jsut depict wat it says..and try to be precise no conclusion in PART-1 just say wat the diagram or chart says.As for the essay part BOb, i would say be realistic give good examples..i got an IELTS score of 8.0 and i was asked the topic"billions of dollars have been spent on space research do you think its justified or shud it be used for betterment of mankind" in this i gave a practical example of Kalpana chawla who's life came to an end..and i tried to emphasise and stress that space exploration shouldn't be pursued. So,the essays are general current affairs.etc.. on teachers,or students..or the like ..its just how you represent and show that you have a well-structured english with reasoning and logical understanding..which is important. So,i recommend you start of by commenting on the topic first..i.e. giving an introduction and then the various factors and problems faced etc.being practical and a rational judgement is important..not just sloppily writing stuff which have no sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
