Please do not get carried away by the alluring advertisements of various universities offering M.Tech(IT) through correspondence or through franchise centers as the University Grants Commission, New Delhi has clearly issued guidelines to all the recognised unoversities not to conduct any off-campus course through any franchise. If they do, such a course would not have the recognition of the UGC. Even if a university that has UGC recognition allows off-campus courses through franchise centers, such courses are not permissible by the UGC
