u say u worked on linux for a year and half. And by Information Security what do u mean ( plz b a little more specific ). There is a lot of scope for Linux Engineers and Information Security Professionals. U can go back to Linux and Security, but now-a-days industry wants a certified Linux Engineer ( RHCE certification, is required ),

But since u say u hav experience, u hav a chance.

If u have a software background..u can go for company that deals with Open-Source Services.

But i am concerned abt the gap..mayb u need to start preparing for RHCE, but no worries whatsoever...so relax and think with a clam brain

I am B.E.(2004) pass out... Well I was in a project of Information Security(basically IDS and IPS) and OS which we were using was Linux.
Well I don't have any software background... I will have to start from scratch..
But will the MNCs' consider me for Linux now as I have a gap of one yr ????. Since 1 year I have been working on Windows and that too desktop...
Pls guide...
