person X join a job at 20 years first 3 years salary =10,000 p.a. afterwards every year increase of 2,000 per year for 10 year. Then salary become constant till retirement. At retirement average salary is 25,000. What age he retires?

At 30 yrs he gets 24,000 and 26,000 at 31 yrs. He should app. retire when he is 30 and 1/2 yrs.I am not very sure becoz no company pays the increase in salary calculating the number of months if an employee leaves organization before the hike.

Hi..

I guess.. He retires before he becomes 50(49-50) as the average salary at 49 is 25,000/-
From Age 20-22 the Salary is 10,000
From Age 23-32 he gets an increment of 2,000 every year. So salary at age 32 is 30,000
From Age 33-49 he gets 30,000 as salary (ie) till retirement! So that the average comes to 25,000

Is it correct??
