9. The slant height of a conical mountain is 2.5 kIn and the area of its base is 1.54The height of the mountain is :
(a) 2.2 km
(b) 2.4 km
(c) 3 km
(d) 3.11 km
Ans)B
Area = 1.54 sq km
pi*r*r = 1.54km
r=0.7km
height = square root of( L2-r2)
L=2.5 km
r=0.7km
solving we get =2.4km

10. The radius and height of a right circular cone are in the ratio 3 : 4. If its volume961 t em3, what is its slant height?

(a) 8 cm
(b) 9 cm
(c) 10 cm
(d) 12 cm
1/3*pi*r^2*h = 961
r:h =3:4
ler r = 3x & h = 4x
1/3*pi*(3x)^2*4x =961
solving we get x=3
h= 4x =12cm

(a) 3.6 kg
(b) 3.696 kg

let inner radius = r2=3cm
outer radius = r1 = 4cm , h=21cm
Volume = pi(r1^2-r2^2)h = 462 cubic cm
per cubic cm weigt = 8 gms
weight of 462 cubic cm's = 462*8 =3696 gms =3.696 kg
