Rep Power: 2  | Problem with Ages Hai friends i am week in aptitude....can u help me to solve the following..question in a simpler manner and can u explain it,,,,, When Arthur is as old as his father Hailey is now, he shall be 5 times as old as his son Clarke is now. By then Clarke will be 8 times older than Arthur is now. The combined ages of Hailey and Arthur are Thanks in Advance.... |

Rep Power: 2 | Re: Problem with Ages hailey - grandfather , arthur - father, clarke-son Let their ages be g, f, s (ages now) here we should rem that the diff between ages will be constant. given,When f is as old as g, their ages will be g+(g-f) f+(g-f) s+(g-f) and given that, f+(g-f)=5s there fore g=5s--->s=g/5 s+(g-f)=f-8 => s+g=2f-8 by substituting above value 6g=10f-40 i think with the given information we can draw up to this, plz if any one knows share ur ans |
