try to solve the puzzle of earth

Hi guys,

I have a different puzzle. i was asked this question in one interview. i solved the puzzle. i think it will be usefull to you guys.

on earth there are some places where if you go

one mile south then

one mile east then

one mile north

you will reach the same place where have you started.

can you tell me those places on earth?

(clue)there are many places not one

there are no cheap tricks in this like gumbling of sentences etc..

it is a pure technical and logical question.

Here is one clue

as i said there are many places one is north pole

on north pole

take 1 mile south

then 1 mile east

then 1 mile north

so u ultimately reach north pole only.

south pole cannot possess this, one mile south is not possible on south pole na

all the points in north pole is considered as one place

still there are some places on earth which does same effect.

Oh!!! sorry i didnt read the question clearly.So What about West?

In case of East also we cant move1 mile east .

But in case of west we can move 1 mile south ,1 mileeast , 1 mile north and ultimatly reach the West .

So one more Place is West pole.

Am i correct?

There is no pole as such east pole and west pole.

the only poles are south pole and north pole

east is moving towards sun rising direction.

west is opposite

north is going towards north pole.

south is going towards south pole.

The answer is

these points are near to south pole.

The points areon earth just one mile above where earth circumference is just one mile

means

if you go one mile south you will reach some place where earth circumference is just one mile. then there u will go one mile east here earth circumference is one mile u will reach same point. so one mile up takes to the same place.

OK got my answer?

hi sharma,

Think of a football south pole(lowest point)

just above south pole of the ball draw a line around the ball so that that line's length is one cm.

not take one point on that just above 1cm draw one more line around the ball(circle) this line is the points.

now one second line if you go 1cm down you will reach 1st line

on 1st line if you move side 1cm you will reach the same point bcz the line length of at this position is one cm

and one more 1cm if you go up u will reach same point

got my answer.

still doubt? take a ball and experiment.
