Re: job hunting

Hi,

As spoorthi said you need not worry about the %. Some of the big software companies look for a cut off of 60%. But there are many more Indian companies which expects only skills and not the marks. Dont restrict your job search to one kind of industry. Broaden your search. Apart from IT there are many fields like Animation,ITES,BPO,and so on..where you can easily find a job. Only thing is give more importance to you communication skills which is plus point in any job.

I am a BE Graduate in Production. I too couldnt find any job. So first I got into a BPO where my communication skills improved tremendously. After a few months I started preparing for the interviews in the production field. I then grabbed a good job in this field
Start applying for all kinds of job. Once you get one, prepare yourself on your field of interest. You will surely succeed.

Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.

I wish you all the best.

Re: job hunting

Hi friend,

Ya why not. You can get a job easily in a BPO. What all you need to face the interviews are basics of computer and reasoning skills. You will have an aptitude and an English test which will be very simple and then a round of interview. The number of rounds held differs from company to company. You just have to concentrate on your aptitude and communication skills. In a BPO you will not have to do any calling work. It is only in call centre. You can also try for a call centre where you get a very good exposure to English language.

Start attending the interviews. Its really simple.

Re: job hunting

Some well known BPOs are Progeon (Infosys), Spectramind (Wipro), Customer 24/7,ICICI One source, Nipuna, Accenture and so on. Register your name in a job site or have a look at the newspaper for walkins. If you register your name in any of the consultancy, they will keep you updated with the new jobs and will help you a lot.
