not getting interview calls

my query is I am not getting interview calls from the software companies even though i did course in java/j2ee, c & c++. the reason is I did my B.E in biotechnology but now i am interested in IT field so what i should do to get the calls

hi pramod,
i dont think so the reason is biotechnology..............it wont be a reason.....bcoz now a days may be field is biotech,chemical,mechanical................every one is trying in IT field......
when did u complete ur B.E...............
just check ur resume....keep all your +ve skills........i completly depends on your resume and also on openings.....
u said u did course in java/j2ee, c,c++................for wat field u r applying for jobs....on wat field u wanna do job? wat u've mentioned in ur resume.....u can mention all those fileds in ur resume but u've to mention n apply for the field u wanna work........if u want to do job on java/j2ee highlight those skills in ur resume...and vice versa..............
do u've any domain exp? r u fresher..............all these things will come in picture when u r searching for job.....so just have a look on ur resume and prepare well.....and upload ur resume in all job portals then automatically u'll get calls bcoz there r lots of opening in all fields .......wish u all the best

Well...the first thing companies look for in a resume is the scores or percentages a candidate has got since his High School (10th grade)...so mostly it is around 60%+ since 10th grade..if not then u will be filtered....( not to be disheartened, though ) // this point counts if u are a fresher.

U have made a career / stream jump from bio-tech to IT..( this is the reason, may be, for u not getting calls ), I suggest u get a certification in any language that you are intrested in. But once u get a job / experience, there is nothing to be worried about
