change of working field

hi
i m working in telecom sector since last 2.5 years, currently i m working in network optimization of GSM, CDMA. for this i m using different type of tools like TEMS NEMO
Agilent.but now i want to switch my job to s/w domain
so please suggest me how i enter in s/w domain
