Re: IT Field

IT field ..... is quite humongous...there are many domains like software, hardware, networks, database, data-mining, mainframes .....and so on..and so forth.

It wud be easier for us to chip-in if u can b a bit more specific.

As far as i am concerned, Man has become dependent on IT ( direct and indirect )...so all i can say is IT industry as a whole wud not face much of a problem ( but some domains / technologies may face problems eg...mainframes ).

Re: IT Field

Dont think too much on future of IT,as live-wire has said, there is different world out there, you can't just say IT when in this globalised village everything is linked to one another, all industries work on IT applications,so 10 years or 20 years,as world progresses so as well the shift of IT technologies. Now with this huge population of IT manpower in US,people there are been finding that IT professionals is become more common and cheaper,so the shift is more towards technologies that can change and evolve with time. For example,SAP is changing dynamically with time,so it is able to survive the market ,so is Oracle. If you are looking at individual perspective, its better to go for IT field if you have the attitude and desire to work and live with the changing world, always updating oneself as per the latest trends to keep your chin up!!!!

HI
THe same question asked to me in my interview. It was core4 company which i have attended.First they have asked us to speek individually why we have choosen IT feild .And Do u think that IT field exist after five years.
There is rumour that after five years IT will godown.
My view there are so many ups and downs in this field ,it may godown up to saturation level but cannot vanish completley.
