How can I improve my communication skill?????? Please help

Hi

I have finished B.E...... But I am poor in speaking english and also i dont have good communication skill . So I am afraid of facing of interviews and lost three interviews because of this. What should I do to improve my english knowledge and communication skill which is very necessary for interviews... Should I join any spoken english class... I am trying to talk in english as far as possible but when I am talking in front of others it happens like I am forgetting all the words and I do many grammatical mistakes..... so friends Please give me some suggestions so that I can clear my interview from next time onwards.

I can understand your feeling now and especially your feeling that you are bad in communication.

I sincerely suggest you to join a SPOKEN ENGLISH instituete. I don't think they will tech you a good english than you learnt in your schooling. They repeat the same things again. But, they will force you to speak on stage and it will reduce your fear.

First thumb rule while speaking is, make your mind understand that the opposite person in not very fluent in english. People only pretend as if they are fluent in English. But, that is not real. Understand and remember this and proceed. Next is, don't get exited to speak quickly. People often make mistake by doing it. If you can't speak quickly, don't try to do it. Take your own time to speak and thus you will get some time to frame sentenses. The day you digest these rules, you are no more worried of your communication skills. No one in industry looks for grammer (only a very basic level is enough). No one knows it well. This is my experience.

Also, if you have written the above question (passage) I am sure you are not bad in communication. I can say this confidently. The only thing you need is to control is your anxity and exitement and keep yourself cool. Again I am saying this, NEVER TRY TO SPEAK MORE QUICK THAN WHAT YOU REALLY CAN.

If you show my reply to a person who is good in grammer, (s)he can find thousand and one mistakes. But, I am never afraid to reply posts in this forum. Its just because of my confidence and belief that most of us are like this and what matters most is the messge what I am trying to say.... Hope you got me. So, develop confidence on you and it will create miracles even if you are speaking little slowly.

1st of all be patience dont afraid to speak in english.
u can participate here in HR & GD rounds so tht it can be helpful in interviews bcoz if u keep on paricipating unknowingly u can forget like u r hvng fear.....automatically u can improve ur skills.
u can join in spoken english classes orelse personality developement which will be useful to u...and also there r some institutes who r gvng training how to attend for interviews u can join in tht also...
try to read english news papres which helps alot to improve english & if possible daily 10min like tht practise infornt of the mirror by tht u can c wonderful results.select a topic & gve urself seminar infront of the mirror for 10min like tht daily.....speak with ur frds in english if u r dng any mistakes tell them to clear those mistakes so tht u wont repeat it again...dont be shame to speak in engligh infornt of ur frds...let them know u r trying ur best so tht they'll also help u...

HI deepika, First of all u have to built the confidence in urself then speak english to every one without any hesgitation or don't shy to the other persons .
