i am an mca having 10 months of exp in php.
right now i m in dehli. but what feel here is that mncs donot opt for php
i am not getting a good break .
pls guide me what to do.
should i go for BPOs or testing or something else.
also i am not that good in communication also
pls help

whn did u finish ur mca?
keep some more exp n try in gud companies.
apply to all companies not only to mncs
now demand is gud for php i think
apply as fresher if u r 2005 or 2006 passout with php as additional skill.
well i suggest u to think twice before going to opt for any other course
with php only try to gud gud jobb.while doing tht u can learn other
communication skills u can improve by talking start with frndss,family members etc
all the best take gud deccision

hi frd,
every field is hvng its own importance.
now a days php is also hvng very good boom....
dont go for BPOs as u r already in s/w field plz continue in tht field itself.
by being in job if u want u can do other course testing,dot net etc...
do the course in the field u r intrested.
dot net + php will have nice future i think so...
lets wait for others sugg also....
but dont change ur field to BPOs.....its my advice.

"Experience ALWAYS counts": its a knowm fact.Demand fr technologies is in its own place..every technology has its own importance ..........PHP has its own demand.....If u think there are less MNC's which opt fr PHP.let me tell u......."Less"-this term means oppurtunities are there,it dosent mean no oppoutunities..so shift to smthing else...Utilize ur Experience.........To get a good break is not easy alwys......wait fr that.........People get Good break after much struggle.............My hearty advice is not to opt fr BPO's or fr testing.........oppurtunities are always there..........we need to hav an eye on thm.........this is wat i always feel........

And coming to ur Comunication skills side............U said u r not that fine with ur Com skills................Thn.......How to gain ?There r so many ways................and developing good communication skills need "PRACTICE".Learn and Implement ...............this is wat is necessary........There are soo many posts in this forum..which deal with com skills....just check out.......Watever people say ......listen to the one who encourages u....and rest leave........SPEAK.....SPEAK.......and SPEAk out..this is one which can change everything.......hear words that r required.........put ur heart in watever u wish to learn......Result will b Positive..........may b it takes time....but worthy wen u will find urself....upto the mark.........everything watever u experince........take it as a lesson.......last but not least....i wud like to add that if u hav any queries..always welcome.......

and also i wanna tellu 1thing frd......dont look for only big mncs there r so many companies who is providing all facilities tht mncs r dng.....already u r hvng 10months is almost 1yr exp...so try for better oppr if u want to change the company.
comming to communications.........nthg is impossible.....whenever u'll get time...try to read english newspapers.....or nice english books or c eng channels or try to participate in this type of forums....try to participate in HR and GD rounds.....c other views also how they r gvng answers then automatically u will improve ur communication skills.
and also try to participate in php section....share the things which u knw....

PHP is upcoming field now .... its in boom ... but it takes ltl bit time 2 get spreaded as other langs ....
pay packs for PHP are good at only some places & only at some cmpnies ....
presently ppl r using PHP just for websites - utilisingonly its basicfeatures ....
PHP is not yet explored 2 its strength in the market ....
its going 2 have very good market once if ppl knows how 2 use it up2 its max possible xtent ....
lvng php 4 bpo is not a wisedecision ....
if u get a brk in other fields like J2EE then u may think abt shift ... but not for bpo or testing ....
jst try ur level best with proper resume presenting ur projs well u ll definitely get a good brk ....
then coming 2 commn skills - try 2 cultivate the habit of talking 2 every1 in english u ll automatically get the fluency .... within few days!

I agree with all the friends who gave their suggestions.

My suggestion is, wait for 2 more months and then try with 1+ exp. Probability of getting calls will increase. With less than 1 yr of exp, you are treated as fresher. But after 1 yr you come under exp category.

Even I will suggest not to move to either BPO or testing. There you may find immediate advantages which are more than your present status. But in long term they may not. Especially BPO.

Communication, Ask yourself one question? are you able to explain clearly what you want and are you able to understand what others are saying? if yes is our answer, I am sure you are not poor in English. That much of English is enough for a software guy. If the answer is no, it means you need some practise and follow the instructions as said by our friends in above posts.
