Re: cricket puzzle
Hello !! Da question u asked is absolutely ver logical, i dodn't hav much knowledge in cricket. However, i try to solve da issue.
First, I wld lik to say the question u want to ask is perfect but cricket is a game with lots of rules... In the question u asked, u can get many possibilities that r correct. 1. Duckworth-Lewis method 2. Short run I'll try to explain both the situations 1. If da match is interrupted by weather or other circumstance and by Duckworth-Lewis Method it was of 45.1 over match (or any over lik 46.1, 47.1) [ This is the link for caliculator : Duckworth-Lewis.com - Calculator ]at the momet first batsman hits a six then in next over the batsman got changed and other one also hits a six. Dis solves ur teo requirements. 2. - First ball, Batsman A on strike (94), 7 to win - batsmen hits the ball nd takes three runs. However, on one of the runs, one of the batsmen accidentally fails to make his ground, so the umpire calls a short run and that run is disallowed. While the ball is still in play the fielder throws it to the wicket-keeper but overthrows it, and the ball goes to the boundary and so an additional four runs are awarded. Thus, six runs (3 runs - 1 short run + 4 overthrows) are awarded to Batsman A for his century, Batsman B would now be on strike. Second ball, Batsman B on strike (94), 1 to win -- the ball is struck over the boundary for six. Batsman B scores his century and his team wins the match. This scenario also solves the raised issue.. two centuries and the match winning.. Message from Johnny... hav a nice day.. |
