Solve dis....

Once upon a time there were 17 dacoits, very good at loot. They were illeterate, but they knew playing cards. Once they looted a box full of gold coins, and decided to quit looting further.

Now the problem was to distribute coins among them equally. So they started distributing one one coin to each member in round fashion as cards are distributed. At last they found 3 coins were remaining.

One of them tried to run away with those 3 coins. Others shot him dead, now they were 16, again they tried to distribute the coins in the same manner, but this time they were left with 10 coins. Another greedy fellow tried the same act, but others shot him dead. Now they were 15, this time when they distributed the coins, all the coins were equally distributed among them.

What was the total number of coins ? Find the minimum possible value.

So all you techmighties please help them to find out how many coins did each member get.
