1. There N stations on a railroad.After adding X stations on the rail
route 46 additional tickets have to be printed. Find N and X. 2. Five people A ,B ,C ,D ,E are related to each other. Four of them make one true statement each as follows. 4) The minimum number of weights is 5
And they are 1 , 3 , 9 , 27 , 81 5) It is Fifth floor

5. "above the floor below the floor, below the floor above the floor, below thefloor above the fifth."...............................this is how worked on it
"below the floor above the fifth" -> above the fifth is 6th floor and below the 6th is 5th Similarly the last 2nd statement "below the floor above the floor" is the same floor on which u r and which is 5th floor so we came to the first statement "above the floor below the floor" which is again the floor on which u r. So, my answer is 5th floor! can uexplain where i am wrong?????????? 1. stations are N. If we add X stations, then additional tickets are NX + XC2 = 46 NX = choose any1 station from N and choose any1 station from X so that u want to reach from one of stations from N to one of stations in X XC2 = if2 stations are added, then no. of tickets = 1(from 1st to second; do i miss second to 1st; it has to be ignored!!!  we never take that or do we??? confuse kar diya!)if3 stations are added,3 tickets(1->2 and 1-3 and 2-3) unfortunately, if the above eqn. is correct, then u get 2 values of X=1,4 for which this eqn is satisfied.
