1) There are three people stranded on an island.One is Blind,One is
deaf,And the other is dumb. The deaf is
a thief and steals blind's wallet. Dumb sees him and the blind also
realises that someone has stolen from him.
The dumb person has to make the blind realise that he is not the one who
did it?.How does he go about it ?

2)There is a lighthouse, the bulb is upstairs and there are 3 switches downstairs. (1 switch turns it on, the other 2 do nothing, all the switches are in off position.) You cannot see if the light is on from downstairs, where the switches are. You can only go upstairs once to see if the bulb is on or not. How do you find which switch works?

3)there is an island, the ultimate getaway, that has n number of couples... during the day, some of the men go fishing while all the women stay behind... every man knows about all the other women except for his own, ie, he knows if the other women are cheating are not, but doesnt know about his own wife. if a man knows any day that his wife is cheating, then he will kill her that night, but he does not. so life is good and everything is perfect. the men go fishing and the women take care of everything. then one day, a mathematician comes and declares that someone is cheating. the mathematician is not lying and everyone believes him. on the third morning, three women are killed and they are exactly the ones that cheated.
explain how it all worked out?

2 ans: first switch on one of the switches for say about 10minutes, then turn off and now switch on the second switch.now go upstairs and see the bulb:

(i) If it glows then directly we can say that the second switch is the correct switch.

(ii) Now if it does now glow, just touch the bulb,
(ii.i) If it is hot it means the correct switch is the first one.
(ii.ii)If it is not hot it means the correct switch is the third one.

as simple as that.

sol puzzle 3:
mathematician sees all the three women cheating because none is his wife.
and as everybody beleives him so he told 3 men who r there husbands. so they killed them all.

1) I am not sure if there is a better way than the dumb person use brailee.

3) This is a very beautiful logical problem. It is assumed that no men don't talk to each other abt their wives' cheating. Also, it is assumed that the husbands kill their wives using guns and the island is small enuf that gun shots are audible from any where to any otehr place in the island. Lets see it step by step.
If at all there was only 1 woman cheating, then obviously, everybody other than the cheater's husband knows abt that woman. And her husband knows that no other woman is cheating. So, he concludes it must be his wife. SO, he kills her that very night.
If it was two women cheating, then first day no body wud be killed, because the husbands of the cheaters do not knwo abt their own wife, and at the end of first day, everybody knows that number of cheating wives is >1 and then using prev logic, teh two husbands kill their wives.

Repeating this logic, if there r n cheating wives, all of them will be shot on teh nth night

hi i have an answer for 2nd ques(bulb)
u have three switches right 1st u on the switch off if then on the second one and go upstairs ans see ..if the light brights then its second switch if not u touch t bulb if it is hot then 1st switch is correct if neither option fails then probably the option is 3rd
