Hi Venkat, Be happy that you are good in Technical. Communication is not really a big factor if you are able to understand what others are saying and others are able to understand what your are saying. Companies dont expect more than that from a fresher. Free flow in communication will come along with experience. Only thing you need to do in interviews is, don't get excited to speak fast and complete sentences quickly. Take your own time and speak slowly (!but not too slow). By this you will get time to frame sentances. Quantitative part, its is important. But, it is not the only thing in written tests. If you are very poor in this section, try to learn some basic things and try to go through some old papers or TCS or some other companies and you should become atleast average performer in this area. As you are technically good, I assure you that it will an easy job for you. Just make an attemp of it and you will know. ALSO REMEMBER We always have technical questions also. Master this area and see that you don't answer any of them incorrectly. Let us speak some thing logical rather theoritical. Some are good in quantitative and they score more in that area and very less in other sections and some are like jack of all they score average in every area. Some are good technical as you are and they score most in this area and over all every once is scoring almost same. NO ONE IS GOOD IN EVERY THING... IDENTIFY YOUR STRENGTH AND MASTER IT. In your case you are good in Technical, master that area. Let me tell you one of my exeperience. Once I attended an interview with an MNC. I took 2 tests. First is technical and then quantitative. I stood first in Technical and stood last in 2nd paper (literally I got only 2/20 as they all are related to adv. mathematics). But, still as a spl. case they selected me for interview and I stood first there too with my technical ability..... if I can do that, you can also do that. NO ONE IS BORN INTELLIGENT AND EVERYONE HAS GOT ONLY 24 HRS A DAY. IT ONLY DEPENDS ON HOW YOU SHARP YOUR SKILLS. Don't feel sad abt what you don't have. Feel proud of what you have and master that area. ALL THE BEST!!! Thanks, Krishna Edited by: sk_kireeti

Hi Kireeti,
Whatyou said is absouletly corect and very apt, Hi Venkat, if u want to improve urverbal skillsjust try to do this things make a goal for urself, (FOR THREE MONTHS) -->like try to learn 20 new words today.. and learn another 20 new words tomorrow and even revise todayswords, continue with this for a week and on sunday reviese all the words(total 6*20=120). -->Try to read news papers(and find how the words u learnt were used) --> Try to watch some english channels like BBC news, CNN, star movies, HBO (not for entertainment) and try toobserve their words, how do they frame a sentance and how they pronounce a perticulr word. --> Try to speak to your self daily (by using the words u learnt) in english by taking a situation or what ever it may be (this is a powerfull idea).. just do these things with honesty it will change ur destiny (regarding apptitude ill tell u later) regards wizkid Edited by: wizkid

That also doesnt mean u shud sit entirely with thsese things , When ever u get time , spend some hrs for this im sure if u do continoulsy u will improve alot all the best sowmya

Hi Sowmya571,
My idea is not to sit with one thing for hours, as u said in ur "do start speaking in english part". To speak in english we need to have a minimum vocubulary to frame a sentance and express our views correctly, which comes only with practiceand for practicing its enough if we devote an hour atmost perday (not to sit for hours, even that is a bad idea)with proper attention and zeal to learn. For learning 20 words a day might not take more than an hour. Hi Venkat, Regarding quantitative skills its always better to learn from the basics so as to reduce the time of calculation..(this may give a tremendious impact, as we all spend time for calculation not for finding the logic of a problem) try toby heart (for example) Tables upto 20 squares of 2 up to 20 cubesof 2 up to 12 then learn all fundamental formule from 9th,10th and Inter maths then try to solve some puzzle (like shakuntala devis puzzle) and for this also, if u devote 1-2 hours per day is more than enough regards wizkid
