    Ques No. 1:

A fly is flying bet'n 2 trains, each travelling towards each other on the same track at 60 kph. the fly reaches one engine, reverses itself immediately and flies back to the other engine, repeating the process each time. the fly is flying at 90 kph. if the fly flies 180 km before the trains meet, how far apart were the trains initially.

    Ques No. 2:

We are given a 12 litre vessel filled with milk and two empty vessels with capacities of 9 litres and 5 litres. how can we divide the milk into two equal portions.

    Ques No. 3:

You have 2 identical looking iron bars, but no other equipments, such as a thread or compass or a steady current flowing through a galvanometre. one of the bars is a magnet, how can you tell which one is the magnet.

    1) the fly is flying with the speed of 90 Kmph...
    it travelled 180 Kms...
hence, it must have flied for 2 hours..

therefore, it takes 2 hours for the trains to meet, from where they started.

each train is moving with the speed of 60 Kmph.
the trains are moving towards each other,

so, relative velocity of approach = 120 Kmph.
distance travelled in 2 hours = 240 Km.

so, the trains initially were 240 Km apart.
