HI GUYS SEEMS LIKE THIS SECTION OF THE BLOG HAS BEEN DESERTED

ANYWAY I WOULD LIKE KICK START IT.

DATAWAREHOUSING HAS A LOT OF SCOPE AND IS WIDELY APPLICABLE I.E A DW PROFESSIONAL CAN WORK FOR A OUT & OUT SOFTWARE COMPANY TO A PHARMA COMPANY.SINCE DW IS MAINLY CONCERNED WITH PROPER INTERPRETATION OF ANY DATA THAT FLOWS INTO THE COMPANY AND APPROPRIATELY CREATING REPORTS SO THAT CERTAIN DECISIONS CAN BE MADE BY THE FIRM. I CAN GO FURTHER AND STATE AN EXAMPLE,BUT GIVEN THE LONELINESS OF THIS SECTION I WOULD PREFER TO WAIT FOR ANY REPLIES

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHETHER COMPANIES DO RECRUIT FRESHERS FOR DATA WAREHOUSING ? BCAUSE MANY PEOPLE R TELLING ME THAT ONLY 2+ YR EXPERIENCE GET INTERVIEW CALLS.IS IT TRUE ?

SIMPLE EXPLANATION OF ETL.

extracting data from outside sources,
transforming it to fit business needs (which can include quality levels), and ultimately
loading it into the end target, i.e. the data warehouse.

This has more oppurtunity in the Future Market..

Bcoz Decision making systems ll get more space in Future..

So having Certified in any ETL with Bi tool is very much important.

Hi... This is Anne working for Datawarehousing for the past 3 years for an MNC.
DW is a wonderful technology and the person who know to work in DW are highly paid.

ETL tools like ABINITIO,iNFORMATICA,Cognos,datastage,teradata

all these above mentioned tools are very expensive to learn.
its bit tough for the freshers to get into this.
but once if u get.. u can shine well
