Job Description :
1. Solaris 10 OS Administrator
Exposure to Oracle Database and also some experience on Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC).
2. Experience on platform migration i.e. from Windows/SQL to Sun/Oracle

3. Provide systems admin support including but not limited to patching, preventative maintenance, performance optimisation, backup, Apache WebServer maintenance services, ensure server security is maintained and carry out other Operational procedures identified in the Support Document

a. Writing, testing and maintenance of Operations Procedures
b. Manage file systems, install software, perform system boot procedures, perform user and security administration, manage network printers and system processes, and perform system backups and restores
c. Network basics, manage virtual file systems and core dumps, manage storage volumes, control access and configure system messaging, set up naming services, and perform advanced installation procedures
d. Solaris System Performance Management
e. Support and maintain cluster environment.
f. Sun Certification will be an added advantage.
g. Excellent communication skills
h. Has practical experience in administering and supporting high-end Sun servers
