Designation Senior Software Engineer/Software Engineer

Job Description As an Oracle Applications Techno-Functional support Analyst,the responsibilities include effective delivery in any of the following Oracle Application Modules.
Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning, Oracle Demand Planning, Order Management, Release Management, Oracle Procurement/ iProcurement, Financials modules (Financial Reporting and General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets) of Oracle Release 11i / 12i e-Business suite.
As a Systems Engineer, you will interface with the customer's IT staff on a regular basis. Either at the client's site or from a remote location, you will be responsible for resolution of moderately complex technical problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance and use and repair/workarounds for Oracle products. You should have knowledge of some Oracle products and one platform that is being supported. You will be expected to work with only general guidance from senior engineers and management and, in some areas may work independently.

Desired Profile Job Requirements

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Because of substantial customer interfacing, a demonstrated ability to work with customers on an independent basis, while constantly achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction is essential. A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience is preferred with two years related experience.

Additional Details

Facilitate and actively participate in all Product Maintenance and Support Activities such as Product Testing Go-Live, Post Go-live stabilization and Product Support(Incident Management, SR/TAR Management)

- Experience designing,improving and supporting business processes such as Demand to Build, Procure to Pay, Quote to cash and Financial reporting using Oracle Applications ebusiness Suite.

- Adding value by combining particular business process knowledge with the know-how of configuring the aspect of Oracle eBusiness Suite that pertains to that process knowledge. For example,

1. A functional Oracle Manufacturing Analyst would have a Manufacturing background, and understands how to configure the products such as Oracle Inventory, Oracle Bills of Material and Work in Process in accordance with a user's business processes
2. A functional Oracle Financials Analyst generally has a financials background, and understands how to configure the GL/AP/AR products in accordance with a user's business processes

- Should possess strong debugging skills and would be required to be conversant with minor SQL queries(Select statements) for debugging incidents or issues that might appear during the deployment or Support activity.

- Should have the ability to resolve critical project issues by working effectively with Oracle support and client stakeholders.

- Ability to perfom pro-active assessment,Patch Impact Analysis, test cases and performance improvement initiatives, lead workshops, build consensus and present best practices/point of view effectively

Desired Profile

Candidate should ideally have a degree in Engineering or a PG in Computer Science from a reputed University.
- Candidate should have 2-5 years of working experience in Oracle Applications as an implementer, Support Analyst or Product Development Engineer or QA/Testing Engineer in the functional area and should have atleast 1 full cycle implementation or Support/Maintenance Project experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.,
- Ability to work as part of a team, yet work independently on complex problems.
