Job Description :
1. Participates and provides inputs during requirements and specification walkthroughs; contributes to the development of the test plans; to the development of project and release Master Test Strategy documents; and assists in the preparation of test estimates and project schedules.
2. Involved in Functionality, Integration, System, Regression, Performance testing
3. Defines, develops, and maintains test scripts. Independently executes test plans and test scripts based on planned project schedules.

Primary Job Function:
1. Participates and provides inputs during requirements and specification walkthroughs; contributes to the development of the test plans; to the development of project and release Master Test Strategy documents; and assists in the preparation of test estimates and project schedules.
2. Involved in Functionality, Integration, System, Regression, Performance testing
3. Defines, develops, and maintains test scripts. Independently executes test plans and test scripts based on planned project schedules.
4. Records and tracks defects uncovered during the execution of tests and actively participate in resolution; proposes and designs retest cases/scripts/data to retest defects.
5. Owns a defect from identification, through triage and retest of the corrected code.
6. Utilizes tools and methodologies to improve the test effectiveness and to increase efficiency.
7. Proactively escalates issues, problems, status to the Leads and alerts/communicates with team on items of impact.
8. Contributes to project planning, risk tracking and mitigation, and effective communication.
9. Timely and accurate entry of status, defect information and metrics to facilitate accurate/timely reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities:
1 Responsible to create and execute as per the test artefacts:
- Master Test Plan
- Test Scenarios/ Cases
- Automation Tools
- Regression Suites
- Gap Analysis Documents
- Process Models/Flows
2 Responsible for defect free deliveries to the subsequent phases, past the test function
3 Responsible for the over-all defect management for the project
4 Responsible for the release of the project artefacts to the next phase based on agreed upon goals
5 Responsible for selection of the most appropriate test strategy, test cases, drafting and following an optimal test strategy, and prioritizing tasks
6 Introducing best practices, standards and metrics in testing function
7 Responsible to automate testing to the extent possible
8 Perform thorough requirement reviews, design reviews, code reviews, testing and debugging where needed
9 Analyze the performance & design of complex systems, data models and/or existing procedures to raise issues and potential problems
10 Foster proactive and cooperative relationships within the project team
11 Troubleshoot complex applications in the production environment when escalated from front-line support team
12 Recommend future enhancements or future solution phases/releases
13 Collaborate with the lead and other team members to estimate test effort and author test schedules
14 Escalate technical issues to software product support organizations with software products to resolve problems encountered during application development
Must have Skill-Set:
1 Strong testing skills in testing Web Based and Windows Based applications
2 Strong experience in test planning, test case writing, automation and business application implementation specifically SQL Server, .Net, ASP.Net, Web Services.
3 Strong test planning, testing and technical skills, Candidate should demonstrate expertise with Transact-sql (T-SQL), Stored Procedures.
Nice to have:
Working experience in .Net technologies (C#, XML, ASP.NET) and SQL (RDBMS)
