Job Description
Senior Oracle Developers for a Product Company (MNC) database logical/physical design, application development using PL/SQL in 9i/10g, and performance tuning/ Unix/ procedures/ Triggers/ Functions

Desired Candidate Profile
Our client is looking for a Senior Oracle Developer for its industry-leading enterprise software solutions. The individual will be responsible for all aspects of requirement analysis, database logical/physical design, application development using PL/SQL in 9i/10g, and performance tuning of the applications. The candidate should have good leadership skills and should be adept in scheduling, load balancing, prioritizing tasks & deliverables for critical software checkpoints and milestones. The candidate should foster team cohesiveness and cooperation with cross-functional groups throughout the company. The candidate will be primarily working with Product Management, Customer Support, and Development Leads to design and develop the database applications for the product.

Responsibilities:
In-depth knowledge of logical/physical database design and strong development experience in Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle utilities
Must have hand-on experience on Oracle 9i performance tuning
Shell scripting expertise is highly desired
Thorough understanding of application development lifecycle
Must be a self-starter requiring minimal direction, should possess excellent communication skills, and be a strong team player with the potential of becoming a team lead
Review Requirement Specification Documents & Software Design Specification documents and develop a comprehensive understanding of user requirements
Active participation in all phase review meetings with the development and business teams
Maintain and enhance existing applications
Be comfortable with fast paced schedule driven product cycles
Create technical documents to support the implementation

Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 5 years PL/SQL development experience is required
Fine tuning applications to run on large databases is a must
Extensive experience working with application developers
Experience with installing, configuring of Oracle databases is a big plus
Excellent verbal and written skills
Detail oriented, strong analytical skills and resourceful in issue resolution
Be a driven, self-motivated, independent and proactive leader
