Designation Group Leader- JAVA, J2EE

Job Description MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical leadership to a project team. This includes the analysis of use cases and requirements, brainstorming, design and implementation of new software, should be able to influence non-subordinates and work with matrix managers
Review and analyze use cases and requirements. Propose, design and implement solutions along with estimates that meet the use cases and requirements.
Write production quality code in Java and J2EE while meeting implementation deadlines.
Adhere to Software development and source control processes.
Provide the software development and product management teams with feedback on the product (manageability, supportability, robustness, functionality, etc.).
Help define, document and review processes to help in the smooth roll out of a release in production.
A passion for hands-on technical problem solving.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
Mentor engineers to improve design and implementation skills.
Be an evangelist for best practices and new technology within the Engineering tea.

Desired Profile ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Pure Java and J2EE technologies including WL and WAS application server knowledge.
Web applications architecture, technologies & configurations.
OOD/OOP methodologies including design patterns.
Unit testing/TDD familiarity
Struts framework experience
Good knowledge of XML processing.
Good knowledge of Databases and SQL (Oracle Preferred).
