Job Description:
This is US project and the consultant will have to work according to California timings.. Salary is open
Oracle Applications experience in large implementation & upgrade projects.
DBA with specialization in the performance tuning areas for Oracle Applications 11.5.10
Excellent working knowledge of Oracle performance monitoring tools.
Expereince in multiple modules of Oracle Applications.
Experience in troubleshooting on Oracle Applications performance issues and providing recommendations in the areas of SQL tuning, network bandwidth and
storage architecture.
Self starter and good team player.
Excellent communication skills.

Desired Candidate Profile:
Security and Access Control Administration: Create and maintain users.
Partial list of Database Monitoring: Routine monitoring of database
Routine administration / Daily review of Logs
Routine daily âhealth checkâ
Proactive monitoring of Roll-Back segment, and resizing to avoid system impact and ensure optimum performance
Proactive monitoring of table usage, and re-indexing of tables to ensure optimum performance
Proactive monitoring of table space to ensuring proper amount of space is allocated
Gather Schema Statistics to help ensure optimum performance
Backup & Recovery: Assist with design and implementation of Backup & Restore strategy and schedules. Monitor backups to ensure they are running correctly and periodically check backup integrity. Restore backed up information when requested.
Database usage reports: Generate standard reports, and purge log files on schedule agreed to in the Site Survey & Assessment.
General Troubleshooting and Preventative maintenance and Performance tuning
Monitor for invalid objects and recompile if necessary
Purging
Initial and Periodic DBA Site planning meetings and report
Apply âone ofâ Database/Application Patch as required by Oracle and agreed to in support agreement
Cloning Oracle Applications (on demand and scheduled monthly)
Any Sys-admin tasks like concurrent programs registration, menu, responsibility creation etc.
Installing monitoring tool like OEM if not there
Install custom oracle database monitoring tool for better maintenance and alert system
Implements good backup and restore database tool like Commvault or Veritas
Routine monitoring of custom and third party applications identified in Site Survey & Assessment
Proactive monitoring of mass storage usage and recommend reorganization to ensure optimum performance (reorganization once every 6 months is included in Foundation Services.)
Assist Database and new application system planning
Upgrade application or database whenever required- Mega Patch, Roll up Patches, Application Related Service Request Patches
Comprehensive Performance Evaluations: Performance Analysis, Recommendations, and implementation of recommendations
Comprehensive Durability and Supportability Analysis, Recommendations, and implementation of recommendations
Business Interruption and Disaster Recovery Planning, Implementation, and Testing
