Job Description:
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Key person holding the Data Architecture IP for a component of the overall Information Delivery footprint. Information Delivery in Energy Services comprises of Data Warehouses, Data Marts and Transactional Reporting. Some of the included business processes are Financials, Sourcing, Order to Cash, Projects, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Services, Parts and Repairs, Service Engineering, etc. Besides these processes, Energy Services also has industry specific processes like managing power plant Outages.
* Defines and monitors the Application and Data Standards across different layers of the technology including ETL, Data Modeling, Metadata Layer, Reporting Layer and Analytics and ensures compliance through the dPMM Tollgate Process.
* Creates and continuously maintains a repository or catalog of all the Energy Services Information Delivery landscape
* Works with different P&Ls to understand and analyze the Project requirements, ensure adherence to the standards and drive synergies across the P&Ls.
* Responsible for driving controls around Data Quality and ensure that projects provide the necessary visibility to the data quality issues.
* Defines and monitors Data Retention and Data Security policies to ensure that Project adhere to them
* Working with our Technology Support Group (TSG), defines the standard tools and technology and ensures compliance.
* Simplifies our platform by driving common data models, evaluating usage and retiring functionalities that are not utilized.
* Provides the thought leadership and contributes to the long term Information Delivery strategy by researching the future trends and advances in the underlying tools and technology

Desired Candidate Profile:
Qualification:
* Bachelors in Engineering or MCA
Technical skills:
* Data Modeling - Erwin, Teradata Manufacturing Logical Data Model (MLDM)
* Reporting Application - Cognos 8
* ETL - Informatica
* Database - Oracle, Teradata
Overall IT experience (in yrs)
* 8 Years of IT Experience
Relevant experience:
(In present skill)
- At least 3 years experience in data warehousing design covering the below aspects
* Hands-on experience in normalized and dimensional logical modeling; aware of recent technologies
* Experience on Oracle, Teradata or a related platform developing a enterprise data warehouse model
* Working knowledge of the following: Erwin, Teradata Manufacturing Logical Data Model (MLDM), Informatica, SQL and COGNOS
* Other Requirements (Project mgmt, certifications, soft skills etc, team mgt resp: global exp:)
* Strong customer focus and ability to manage customer expectations.
* Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
* Strong business analytical skills; analyzing source systems
* Strong ability executes, prioritize and deliver in a matrixed organization
* Experience working in a global environment
* Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels.
* High competency level of project management and new technology implementations
