Job Description :
The job expectations are Design, Develop, Tune and Unit Test of database applications in Oracle & SQL Server relational databases. The offshore database developer would be required to communicate with the onsite team on a regular basis either through regular conference calls or emails or as required by the onsite team.

Desired Candidate Profile :
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a 4-year college degree in Computer Science (or equivalent degree) and 5 years of programming experience in database development using Oracle and MS SQL Server. Work experience with PL/SQL and SQL is a must. Experience with Banking or Financial applications is preferred. The excellent communicator we seek should be able to follow both verbal and written instructions and should demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a member of the team.

Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT industry
- Minimum 3 years of hands on experience in Oracle 9i/10g , PL/SQL,
scripting Packages/Procedures, Toad and Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Minimum 2 years of hands on experience in MS SQL Server 2005, T-SQL, writing Stored Procedures. Out of which 1 year in developing SSIS Packages.
- Some experience with Source Control Tools such as Visual SourceSafe, etc.,
- Experience using Toad is a plus
- Experience in Oracle 9i/10g database administration on a medium scale in DB development and/or DB production environments is a plus
- 4 year engineering or computer science degree or equivalent
- Good verbal and written communication skills, good analytical skills.
- Flexible schedule where possible, with an expectation to work occasional extended hours.
Also:
- Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
- Must be able to handle multiple assignments effectively & timely manner
- Strong problem solving skills
- Must be a team player
