Job Description:
The Analog/Mixed Signal AC (AMS) plays a critical role in the success of Synopsys’ customers as they design custom ICs which push the limits of complexity, time to market and silicon technology. By enabling the adoption of Synopsys' analog/mixed signal design products and leading-edge Discovery AMS methodologies, the AMS AC brings essential improvements in performance, cost, quality, and development time for these ICs.
The AMS AC works with customers to solve complex technical challenges in the area of Analog/Mixed signal designs, Library characterization, device level modeling, low power, and signal integrity. Customer support roles include training, problem resolution, methodology guidance, and technical account management. The AMS AC is expected to manage multiple customer issues concurrently and be very effective at interacting with them.
The AMS AC will be able to discuss customer issues regarding Nanosim/Fast spice, HSPICE, NanoChar, Dynamic SI issues, and full custom design methodologies involving SNPS tools. The AMS AC aligns with Sales to exceed quota as they proactively manage customer accounts for success. Sales support roles include product demonstrations, evaluations, and competitive benchmarking. The AMS AC plays an active role in account planning and working as part of the account team to develop solutions to customer problems based on their insight into the customers' needs and issues.
The AMS AC is apart of an AC team managed by the Technical Manager. They are expected to leverage their knowledge and experience in the transistor-level circuit design process to the rest of the AC team. They also provide technical feedback to Synopsys product development teams pertaining to critical issues and recommended enhancements.
Education:
BS/BE with 2 - 4 years of relevant experience. MS/ME with 0 - 2+ years of relevant experience.
Design experience should include transistor-level CMOS/BiCMOS circuit design, analog circuit design & simulation, library Characterization, verification (DRC/LVS) and RC extraction. Deep SNPS AMS tool experience is strongly desired. Strong understanding of custom design methodologies is also required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Customer sensitivity, the ability to multiplex many issues, and the desire to help customers exploit new technologies are essential for success in the position.
