MySQL 5.0 (MyISAM and InnoDB engines), SQL, replication, LVM, rsync, Linux, 5+ years of experience, ideally at high-traffic consumer Internet site, Start-up experience, MySQL MEMORY engine

KEY SKILLS: Database Administrator, DBA & MySQL, Linux scripting is a MUST

Responsibilities:
- Manage a growing number of MySQL servers
- Maintain backups, replication, and monitoring system health.
- Continuously optimize schema, queries and indexing.
- Assist developers in schema/query design.
Basic Qualifications:
- MySQL 5.0 (MyISAM and InnoDB engines).
- SQL, replication, LVM, rsync, Linux.
- 5+ years of experience, ideally at high-traffic consumer Internet site.
- Start-up experience.
Additional Expertise:
- MySQL MEMORY engine, hybrid engine model.
- Data modeling.
- Data mining and analytics experience.
- Knowledge of Linux, Tomcat, Java, iBatis, stored procedures.
- Large volume emailing management.
- Server optimization.
- Knowing recovery, in addition to backups.
- Understanding when data shouldn't be stored in RDBMS.
