Job Description of Material Localization-Polymer

We are looking for candidates from Pune.

Job Location: Pune

Roles & Responsibilities of the Position

To handle and lead the material localization

Key Responsibilities:

·To deal with and localize materials like
·PP , ABS, PBT, POM, PA , EPDM, EPP etc
·Steel
·Foam, fabric, carpet, noise damping material,
·Metal plating material
·Electrolytic coating
·To be a link between suppliers and VW lab
·Optimization of material , meeting VW material specifications
·Identify re-use and recyclability of the material
·Identify material testing and certification labs
·Organize material shipping to VW Germany / European test labs for testing
·Confirm the material used by various suppliers
·Analyzing competitors parts and identify the materials
·Identify various processes required for manufacturing, transportation, loading / unloading, storage and usage of materials
·Project reporting to upper hierarchies
·Documentation of work progress
·Leading, training and mentoring the team members from various disciplines
·External and internal communication, communication with the engineering team of VW Germany
·Lessons learnt documentation
·Planning of required infrastructure

·Ensure quality and cost consciousness within the team

Key performance Indicators:

·Timeliness of assignments ( as per the expected time completion per every assignment )
·Number of materials localized
·Relationship with material test labs
·Timeliness of the updates
