Department of Space is one of the prestigious Departments of Government of India, responsible for the development of Space Science, Space Technology and Space Applications, having units set up in various places in India. The Civil Engineering Division(CED) of the Department of Space is responsible for planning, design, construction and maintenance of all ground based structures and associated utilities to cater to the Space Programme. Staff functions like planning designing, personnel and career development activities are performed by Officers and staff drawn from the disciplines of Engineering, Architecture, Administration & Accounts. The line functions in the execution of works are carried out by Chief Construction Engineers. Heads of the Engineering Maintenance Division positioned at various ISRO Centres/Units are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of facilities. Challenging/excellent opportunities are available for learning, professional development, development of innovative technologies.
