The
compensation
package
includes
basic
pay(IDA),
DA(presently
58.1%),
HRA

will
be
admissible

The
total

emoluments

Job
Description
:


Operation
&
maintenance
of
Optical
Fibre
Transmission



network

consisting
of
OFC
cable
and
SDH/PDH
equipment,



power


supplies
etc.
Managing
Day
to
Day
operation
&
maintenance
activities
including
coordination
with
Railways/contractor
for
OFC
cable
cut
restoration,
reporting
of
network
status,
customer
activation,
provision
of
service
to
customers,
testing
&
commissioning
of
services,
customer
deactivitation.
Coordination
with
officials
manning
NOC(network
operations
centre)
for
the
purpose
of
provisioning.deactivitation
of
services,
monitoring
of
network
status,
fault
reporting
etc.

2.
(i)
The
incumbent
will
draw
pay
at
the
minimum
of
the
scale
of
the
post
alongwith
allowances
as
admissible
to
the
post.
However,
Candidates
having
working
experience
in
NOC
of
MPLS,
SDH
systems


can
be
considered
for
extra
increments.
Leased
residential
accommodation
as
per
Corporation’s
rules
and
entitlement
can
be
availed
at
the
place
of
posting
in
lieu
of
HRA.

Technical
candidates
having
working
experience
of
operation
&
maintenance
of
optical
transmission


network/MPLS
network/Network
Operation
Centre
with
a
major
telecom
operator
having
a
all
India
network


&
operations
can
be
considered
for
additional
increments
depending
on
the
length
of
such
experience.

Candidates
for
Finance
having
working
experience
with
a
major
telecom
operators
will
also
be


considered
for
additional
increments
depending
on
the

experience.

Place
of
Posting
:-

Any
where
in
India
as
per
the
requirement
of
the
Corporation.


4.
Reservation
of
posts
for
SC/ST
will
be
as
per
Government
directives.
Candidates
belonging
to


SC/ST
category
should
enclose
an
attested
copy
of
Caste/Tribe
certificate
issued
by
the
competent
authority.


5.
Candidates
employed
in
Govt/PSUs
should
route
their
applications
through
proper
channel
or


produce
a

No
Objection
Certificate’
at
the
time
of
interview,
if
short
listed
and
called
for
the
interview.


6.
The
candidates
applying
against
OBC
reserved
vacancies
should
note
that
they
have
to
produce
a
valid
caste
certificate
in
support
of
their
belonging
to
OBC
community
by
the
Competent
Authority
in
the
prescribed
format
for
this
purpose
so
as
to
prove
that
they
do
not
belong
to
‘Creamy
Layer’
of
the
OBCs.
Further,
the
caste
to
which
the
candidate
belongs
should
be
the
one
included
in
the
Central
list
of
OBC
since
RailTel
Corporation
is
a
Central
PSU.

7.
No
traveling
expenses
will
be
paid
to
the
candidates
for
appearing
in
the
written
test/interview.


However,
SC/ST
candidates,
called
for
the
interview
will
be
reimbursed
2nd
class
two
and
fro
Rail
fare
by
the


shortest
route
on
production
of
tickets.


8.
Canvassing
in
any
form
will
disqualify
a
candidate.


9.
No
correspondence
will
be
entertained
from
the
candidates
found
ineligible
and
not
called
for
written


test/interview
or
for
non-selection.

10.(i)
Selection
for
the
post
of
AM(Tech)
will
be
based
on
written
test
followed
by
interview
for
the
short

listed
candidates.
The
written
test
will
be
tentatively
held
at
Delhi,
Chennai,
Kolkata
,
Mumbai,
Hyderabad


and
will
comprise
150
objective
type
questions.
Out
of
150
questions,
70%
questions
will
be
on
professional


subjects
and
30%
questions
will
be
based
on
general
awareness,
reasoning
and
proficiency
in
English


language.

The
candidates
must
give
his
option
of
center
clearly
in
the
application
form
Option
of
center
once


exercised
will
not
be
changed.
However,
in
the
event
of
not
holding
the
examination
in
a
particular
city,
due


to
administrative
reasons
the
examination
center
may
be
allotted
in
some
other
city
and
the
candidate
will


have
to
appear
for
the
written
examination
at
the
center/city
finally
allotted
by
the
Corporation.


12.
The
candidate
must
attach
attested
photocopies
in
support
of
proof
of
age,
educational
qualifications


and
experience.
Originals
need
not
be
sent
at
this
stage.
The
originals
are
required
to
be
produced
at
the


time
of
interview.

all
respects

with

passport
size

of

summarily

action
will
be
taken
on
applications

after

last

and
neither
the
fee
received
with

nor

will
be
returned.
No
correspondence

ineligible
candidates
will
be
entertained.

Candidates
