Job Description
Option Matrix, Hyderabad is looking for Graduate / Post Graduate Freshers with formal training in .Net or Java or PHP or web designing (candidates with up to 1 year work experience can also apply) for Software Trainee position. There are 4 open positions as follows â (1) Two Trainees for PHP (2) One Trainee for Web Designing. The role will start with detailed training in programming skills on the Microsoft .Net or PHP â MYSQL or Web Design technologies with live project allocation in assistant capacity for 2-3 months. The next step is to allocate this assistant programmer / designer with responsibility for specific live project features and this role will last for 6-9 months. In the second year, the candidate will be expected to play a lead programmer / designer role to contribute in database design / code structure and a wider role bordering on System Analyst position involving client interaction may be allotted based on capability / individual interest. Comprehensive training is provided and there is a retention bond of 2 years for this position which requires original academic certificates of the candidate. Starting salary for this role is Rs. 8000/- per month. A monetary growth of 30% per year is generally possible in this role and higher growth rates are definitely possible for meritorious candidates.
Desired Candidate Profile
Option Matrix is looking for graduate or post graduate candidates in any discipline who wish to start their career in IT industry and have at least gone through a 3-6 month formal course in programming. The company provides a quick 1 week orientation training as a first step to create a good foundation of programming skills and knowledge of SDLC process. This training continues with allocation of the candidate in a live project in assistant capacity for at least 2-3 months. The candidate typically spends 4-6 months in the company by the time the programming skills are honed. The next step involves a dedicated allocated in a live project where the candidate is given specific responsibility for project features and works under a lead programmer / designer. Upon completion of one year, the candidates are generally quite confident and well versed in both their technical skills as well as our step by step software development methodology based on a incremental and iterative process. The second year candidate is generally allocated to the lead programmer / designer role, whose job is to independently lead the technical execution of allocated project in programmer / designer capacity based on the project requirement specification document prepared by our Business Analyst. Adequate guidance is again provided to mature out the skill-set in this step. Most candidates will mature out at end of 2 years in our company as Lead programmers / designers but the smarter employees are able to take on a wider role involving preparation of use cases and ability to prepare a requirement specification document for the project with client interaction / validation (System Analyst Role).
