Roles and Responsibilities: Core Java - L1, Java - Database - L1
Skill & Job Requirements: Core Java - L1 - Should be aware of the following concepts of Core Java. 1) Fundamental concepts (JVM, Java environment, primitive types, references, pass by value, packages, imports, JAR concepts, command line arguments, system properties, assignments, expressions, operators, exception handling) 2) Declarations, Initializations and Scoping 3) Flow Control, Usage of FOR loop, Declaration of parametrized types like List exposureList = transaction.getExposureList

4) API Contents of Object, Wrapper classes, File, String related classes, Basic serialization, Dates, Parsing, Tokenizing, Formatting 5) Basic Concurrency Concepts 6) Object oriented concepts (Class, Methods, Access specifiers, Inheritance, Abstract classes, Final Class) 7) Collections / Generics 8) Should have working knowledge in any one of the IDEs like Eclipse or NetBeans, JBuilder, JDeveloper, IntelliJ to build, compile and run an application. 9) Should understand - what is unit testing (Screen testing, Class testing etc. what to use when)
