Air India Charters Ltd. wishes to engage 115 Female AIRLINE ATTENDANTS as per requirements and maintain a waitlist, on a fixed term contract for a period of five years to undertake flying / ground duties in Thiruvananthapuram / Kozhikode / Kochi / Mumbai / Delhi / Chennai / Mangalore / Trichy / Amritsar / Hyderabad / other Air India Express stations. Applications are invited from UNMARRIED Female Indian nationals who meet the following requirements :-

Eligibility Criteria:
Qualifications : Graduate in any discipline from a Recognised University OR
XII Standard with 3 years Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology from Institutes affiliated to National Council of Hotel Management.

Height : Minimum required for Female Attendants is 157.5 cms ( 5’ 2” ).
(Relaxation of height requirement up to 2.54 cms ( 1” ) will be considered for Gorkhas, Garhwalis and those hailing from North-East States & hilly areas. This relaxation will be granted to candidates who produce a Certificate of Domicile of this area).


Weight : In proportion to height as per Company’s standard.
Vision : Normal eyesight (i.e. without correction by surgery or glasses or contact lenses or otherwise) having distant vision of at least 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other eye.

Age Limit : Should be not more than 24 years as on December 01, 2006. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates. Ex-Servicemen will be granted relaxation in age as per Govt. rules. A relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years will be granted to persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of Jammu & Kashmir State during 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989.

Language Proficiency : Should be fluent in English and one or more Indian languages. Preference will be given to applicants who are conversant with Arabic language.

Other Requirements : Applicants must be well groomed and have a clear complexion. They should be dynamic and have a friendly hospitable disposition. Applicants will be required to have a valid Indian Passport.

Selection Procedure
a) Selection Procedure involves WALK-IN Group Discussion / Personal Interview (s) / Pre-employment Medical Examination.
B) Candidates, along with the duly filled in Application Form in the prescribed format, and the requisite Fee, as well as supporting testimonials (original plus one set of Xerox) will be required to present themselves, in person, at any one of the following venues, on any of the dates between 0900 am to 1200 noon.
c) The Application Form of the candidate after submission of the requisite Fee would be scrutinized and prima-facie eligible candidates will be allotted a slot either on the same day / following day (s) for Group Discussion.
d) Those candidates found suitable in the Group Discussions will then be called for Personal Interview(s), may be immediately or at a later date.
e) Candidates should appear at the venue closest to their declared residential address / address for communication only.
f) In case, it is found at a later date, that certain candidates have appeared at more than 1 venue, or on more than 1 occasion at the same venue or other venues, such candidates will be summarily disqualified.
g) Candidates must come well groomed and must wear a saree.

How to apply
i) Only FEMALE Applicants who are UNMARRIED and meeting with the eligibility criteria mentioned in this advertisement, as on December 01, 2006, may WALK-IN and appear on any one of the dates and venue mentioned above, between 0900 hrs to 1200 hrs, along with duly completed Application Form, filled in Hindi or English, in the specified format, along with Application Fee of Rs.300/- (Rupees Three Hundred Only) by means of an A/c Payee Demand Draft in favour of “Air India Charters Ltd.”, payable at Mumbai, which is not refundable. Please mention your Full Name on the reverse of the Demand Draft
ii) No fees to be paid by applicants belonging to SC/ST Communities.
iii) No applications without requisite fee as applicable, will be accepted.
iv) Applications sent by email / post / courier, will not be considered.
v) Applications once submitted will not be allowed to be withdrawn and the fees paid will not be refunded on any account, nor would this fee be held in reserve for any future examination or selection.
vi) A recent (not more than three months old) passport size coloured photograph of the full face (front view) should be pasted neatly in the space provided in the Application Form. Two additional passport size coloured photographs will be required to be brought along at the time of Walk-In.
vii) Attested copies of supportive documents in respect of Item Nos. 2, 7, 8, 10, 11 & 12 of the Application Form must be submitted along with the application. Original Certificates are required to be brought along for verification purpose only, but should not be submitted along with the application. The Company is not responsible for returning any original copy/ies of Certificates / Testimonials submitted with the application.
viii) Applicants working in Govt., Semi-Govt. / Public Sector Undertaking or autonomous bodies, must apply through proper channels. However, an advance copy of the Application will be considered at the time of Walk-in Selection. In such cases, their candidature will be considered only on provisional basis. Such applicants will be allowed to join only if they produce “No Objection Certificate” from their Employer before joining.
