Andhra Pradesh CM Y S Rajasekhara Reddy went missing for several hours ago in his chopper giving anxious moments to the state administration.

Uncertainty continues over the whereabouts of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, whose helicopter went missing at 10.30 am amid bad weather.

There is no official confirmation on Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy's whereabouts.

In a press conference, state Finance Minister K Rosaiah said the CM as well as the chopper was still untraceable. Rosianh said that the state government has alerted the Defence Ministry, Home Ministry. The state government was in touch with the PM and Sonia Gandhi's office.

Karnool SP B L Meena, had told Times of India that the chief minister’s chopper had been located and a police team was going to escort him back to Hyderabad. The chopper had landed in Pamalupudu village in Karnool district, the SP said.

The CM is said to be safe, but the police is not yet declaring his exact whereabouts. This is to prevent giving ideas to Naxalites about the chief minister.

A massive operation involving 7 air force choppers has been launched to locate the aircraft which has been landed at unknown area.

However, according to the CM office, the Chief Minister is safe and is travelling by road. The sources say, when they landed, there was a call from one of the security guards and he said that the CM was safe.

According to CNN-IBN, Reddy was finally found at Kurnool guest house after a two-hour frantic search involving Army helicopters and security agencies.

Its a sad demise for us to hear that YSR had died along with 4 members in the chopper crash...

It is very sad to Here our Cheif Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as died due to chopper crash with Bad weather conditions along with him another four member are also died may god bless his sole.

Its very sad news for us to hear that AP CM Y.S. Rajashekhar Reddy is no more. He had died in chopper crash at top hill in Nallamalla Forest Area along with fellow men including his Security Officer, PA and two senior most experienced pilots. This news has been revealed today morning by higher officials in New Delhi.
