Name of the post: Technical Officer-E (Mining) Pay Band: Rs.15,600-39,100 + Rs.7600 Grade Pay Total number of posts: 01 (General) Qualifications Essential: Degree in Mining Engineering from a Recognised University/Institution with minimum 60% marks in aggregate and First Class Mines Manager Certificate of Competency (Unrestricted). Desirable: Minimum 09 years of post qualification working experience in production line of a large mechanized underground metal mines/mechanized opencast mines. 2. Name of the post: Technical Officer-C (Mining) Pay Band: Rs.15,600-39,100 + Rs.5400 Grade Pay Total number of posts: 02 (General) Qualifications Degree in Mining Engineering from Recognised University/Institution with minimum 60% marks in aggregate and First Class Mines Manager Certificate of Competency (Unrestricted) 3. Name of the post: Scientific Assistant-B (Physics) Pay Band: Rs.9,300-34,800 + Rs.4200 Grade Pay Total number of posts: 03 (SC-01; General–02) Out of the three posts, one post is reserved for locomotive disabled persons. Qualifications: B.Sc. with Maths, Physics and Chemistry with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Note: Candidates with Post-Graduate degree are not considered, hence need not apply. 4. Name of the post Scientific Assistant-B (Chemistry) Pay Band Rs.9,300-34,800 + Rs.4200 Grade Pay Total number of posts: 04 (ST-01; General – 03) Out of the four posts, one post is reserved for hearing impaired persons. Qualifications: B.Sc. with Maths, Physics and Chemistry with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Note: Candidates with Post-Graduate degree are not considered, hence need not apply. 5. Name of the post: Scientific Assistant-B (Drilling/Mech.) Pay Band: Rs.9,300-34,800 + Rs.4200 Grade Pay Total number of posts: 20 (SC-03; ST-01; OBC-08; GEN-08) Qualifications: Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Drilling Engineering (3 years course after SSC) from a recognized institution with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Note: Candidates with Degree in Engineering qualification are not considered, hence need not apply. 6. Name of the post: Scientific Assistant-B (Library) Pay Band: Rs.9,300-34,800 + Rs.4200 Grade Pay Total number of posts: 01 (GENERAL) Qualifications: B.Sc. with minimum 50% marks in aggregate + Bachelor of Library Science or equivalent Diploma in Library Science with 60% marks. Note: Candidates with Post-Graduate degree are not considered, hence need not apply. 7. Name of the post: Scientific Assistant-B (Survey) Pay Band: Rs.9,300-34,800 + Rs.4200 Grade Pay Total number of posts: 04 (SC-01; OBC-01; GEN -02) Qualifications: Diploma in Civil Engineering (3 years course after SSC) from a recognized institution with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates with experience in Survey will be given preference. Note: Candidates with Degree in Engineering qualification are not considered, hence need not apply. 8. Name of the post: Scientific Assistant-B (Mine Survey) Pay Band: Rs.9,300-34,800 + Rs.4200 Grade Pay Total number of posts: 02 (General) Qualifications: Diploma in Civil Engineering (3 years course after SSC) from a recognised institution with minimum 60% marks in aggregate and with Mines Survey Competency Certificate in metalliferous Mines (Unrestricted). Note: Candidates with Degree in Engineering qualification are not considered, hence need not apply. 9. Name of the Post: Assistant Security Officer (A) Pay Band: Rs.9,300-34,800 + Rs.4200/- Grade Pay Number of Existing/ Anticipated vacancies Existing – 05 (4 General+1 SC) Anticipated – 02 (SC-1, ST-1) (Out of the seven posts, 3 posts are reserved for Ex- servicemen of any category) Age: Upto 27 years as on 1.7.2009 Relaxable for Govt. servants upto 35 years in accordance with the instructions/order issued by the Central Government. Maximum age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates. Maximum age limit for Ex-servicemen and persons with police and paramilitary backgrounds is 30 years (after deducting the period of service from the actual age) Ex-servicemen and Ex-Constables shall be eligible to apply only within three years of discharge or retirement from Armed Forces or Police. Minimum Qualifications & Experience Direct recruits: Graduate from a recognized University. For Ex-Servicemen, Ex-Police and Ex-Central Para Military Personnel: Graduate from a recognized University or equivalent Experience : (for ex-servicemen) Not below Junior Commissioned Officer or equivalent or having five years experience as Non-Commissioned Officers or equivalent Minimum Height 167 Cms Chest 80-85 Cms. (Relaxable for Scheduled Tribes and Hill men as per Government Orders) Note: Due to administrative reasons, the applications received against Advertisement No. AMD-1/2007 for the post of Assistant Security Officer-A could not be processed and the same has been cancelled. Candidates applied earlier for the post of ASO-A may also submit their applications afresh, if they so desire, if they are meeting the eligibility conditions of this advertisement. Selection Procedure: Selection for Technical Officer-E post will be based on interview and selection for Scientific Assistant-B posts will be based on Practical Test/interview. Selection for Technical Officer-C post will be based on a written test followed by interview for those who qualify in written test. Written test and interview will be held at Hyderabad. The date, time and venue for written test will be intimated to the eligible candidates by post. Interview call letters will be sent to only to those candidates those who qualify for interview based on written test. AMD reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts or cancel theadvertisement depending upon the requirement/policy of the Department/Government. Mere fulfilling the requirement as laid down in the advertisement does not entitle a candidate to be called for a written test and interview. AMD reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to a reasonable limit on the basis of scholastic records, percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations where the number ofapplications received in response to the advertisement are large in number and where it is not practicable for this Directorate to call all the candidates for written test/interview. Appointment & Placement : Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration & Research (AMD) is basically a field oriented organization. The candidates are liable to be posted for field and or laboratory work in any one of the Regions with Headquarters at New Delhi, Bangalore, Nagpur, Jamshedpur, Shillong, Jaipur and Hyderabad or in its sectional offices located at Visakhapatnam and Thiruvananthapuram or any of the field units located anywhere in India or any other Centre to be established by the Atomic MineralsDirectorate for Exploration & Research (AMD) in future or in any of the Constituent Units of the Department of Atomic Energy in India. They should be prepared and must be willing to bear the arduous conditions of field life, which involve living in tents or in improvised field accommodation. They should be physically and mentally strong enough to withstand all the rigors and hazards of field life. The selected candidates will be governed by the new restructured defined Contribution Pension Scheme, which has come into force with effect from 1.1.2004 vide Ministry of Finance Notification No.5/7/2003-ECB & PR dated 22.12.2003 and the provisions thereunder, by contributing monthly an amount of 10 per cent of the Pay and Dearness Allowances with matching contribution from Government. How to apply : 1. The application should be submitted in the proforma given in the Advertisement, preferably typewritten on thick foolscap paper. 2. The application and the outer cover should be superscribed as Application for the post of __________________________________________in AMD, against the advertisement No.AMD-1/2009. 3. A recent passport size photograph should be pasted on the space provided on the right hand top corner of the application and staple an additional photograph (with name on backside) to the application. 4. The application for the post of Technical Officer/C should be accompanied by a Non-refundable crossed Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred only) as application fee drawn in favour of “The Pay & Accounts Officer, AMD, Hyderabad” payable at Secunderabad. SC/ST candidates, Disabled Defence personnel and dependents of Defence Personnel killed in action and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying the above fee. Application fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can the fee be reserved for any other examination or selection in future. DD not required for Technical Officer-E , Scientific Assistant-B and Assistant Security Officer-A posts. 5. Application should accompany the attested copies of certificates of (a) Educational and Technical qualifications and all marks sheets for all the years of study of the qualifying examination duly attested by a Gazetted Officer. (b) Date of Birth proof (SSC Certificate/Birth Certificate issued by Registrar of Births & Deaths). (c) Certificates issued by the Competent Authorities in support of their claim as SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged/Ex-Servicemen.Candidates belonging to OBC should furnish the caste certificate (Not BC) in the prescribed format. (d) Non-creamy layer Certificate in the case of OBC candidate as per DoPT O.M. No.36033/3/2004-Estt.(Res.) dated 14.10.2008. (e) Experience certificate, wherever required, specifically stating the nature of work done.
