Beauty contests degrade womanhood

I don't think so. But its better to ask girls more than us about their feelings about these competitions. and they r giving so much importance to character also along with the beauty. so I never think like that.

As the topic goes Beauty Contest degrade womenhood Before coming to the the discussion i just want to explain what beauty contents really are and how are the involved with the women Beauty contest involves not only beauty of body but also beauty of mind as we can see in the latest beauty contest held well we can it depends on the culture from which the woman is hailing If the community accepts her or her family accepts herthere is no bad All in all its up to u andur concience how u interpret it

I feel that beauty contest does not help in anyway for the upliftment of woman community.Instead it degrades their quality by show casing their beauty on the stage . Judges evaluate the beauty of the contestant & filters them in each stage only degrades the womanhood.

Beauty contests doesnot degrade women if some changes are made in it. In beauty contest there are several rounds which tests whether that girl is having good knowledge, internal beauty (which mean whether she is with kind heart) and ofcourse others categories too... But some rounds in beauty contest must be changed . And in beauty contests dressing code must be changed. If an Indian women is participating in that beauty contest then she must be allowed to wear sary which reflects our Indian culture.Our dressing must reflect our culture . So that other countries can understand what our culture is. And if these changes are made then beauty contest willnot degrade womenhood.

if u take any beauty contest, there r many rounds to be qualified which tests all de aspects startin frm character to external beauty!!n i don feel theres any way of degrading de womenhood!!

if de beauty contest selects winner on de basis of beauty alone then i can accept that it degrads womenhood!! but its not so !!

hence i think beauty contests never degrade women!!

Now a days beauty contests not alone concentrating the BEAUTY of woman.... itz seeking something else.....by the name of beauty contest ,the advertising field is taking oppertunity.......there will be 20-23 women with vulger dress codes......By showing the 3/4th naked body of woman , what contest is goin on.......yes they are saying ." itz not only beauty of body but also beauty of mind..."but itz not happening.....


the real beauty of people (woman/man) is not only on body..... but itz on their body,soul and mind .but no beauty contests are looking forthe beauty of these 3 thingsEdited by: ammoos

beauty contest degrades womenhood in some aspects such that we are having good culture . many foreign conmntries show speacial intrest upon india due to facts that here we give respect the women. these beauty contests encourages woman hoodvery much this results to to show women on the stage with 30% naked thus degrading the culture of bharat.

basically beauty contest should not be confined to body but it should be confined to sul and the heart.

Beauty contests degrade womanhood........as we know every side has two coins...there are thors with the roses in the similar fashion... beauty contests degrade womanhood this aspect as two sides..firstly i feel that beauty contests nowdays are not focussing on your beauty or your vitals stats they are looking for someone with beauty with brains.... tehy are looking for someone who is beautifully brainy...one who carries herself well and the one who is quick and sharp to react tastefully to every situation......

now the counterpart ..........no doubt in such contets... contestants are supposed to walk on the ramp with minimumm clothes in few rounds as bikini one......in country like india where females are respected are godesses...then hereby we are nt able to atke this open showcasting of beauty......this thing is not acceotable to us...coz in somesense it is ocnsidered as being vulgar and cheap...and as someoen aid earlier beaty is all about body, mind and soul so we need beauty contests which focusses on alll the three aspects of beauty.........

and to end on compromising note beauty contests are good for some and bad for some to make them acceptable to all we need to do slight modifications in them....

Beauty contests are becoming much popular now-a-days.It is coming in streets and all like street beauty,city beauty,state beauty....I think that beauty contest is not a wrong thing if it is done in a correct way.Generally those who attend beauty contest say that they are accepted as beauty only for the reason that they are brilliant.I accept that intelligence is also a factor.But it is considered only as a part of the contest.It is not helping us in anyway.The beauty is the gift given by god and it is not a thing to expose.We need not show our intelligence only by attending beauty contest. Beauty is not in the face or not in the way of dressing.It is in the way of behaviour.I think beauty is not a thing to be recognised.We should say that if we are beauty or not.We should not expect the world to say that we are beauty.Major thing is beauty is a thing which decays as time elapses.We will talk about ISHWARYA ROY for 5 or 10 or 15 years.But kalpana chawla will be remembered for another millenium.I also like ishwarya roy.But what i am trying to convey is beauty is not the important thing and it should not be an exposable thing.We should create other's respect towards us and not interest towards us.

as the topic goes beauty contests degrade womenhood...in my perspective beauty contests does degrade women in some aspects..the beauty of a women lies in her behaviour rather in her looks..even though beauty contests hav several rounds to test womans internal beauty,her knowledge and her confidence to take up the challenges there are other rounds where woman need to expose their beauty and somtimes with 3/4th naked body..i think there is no need to expose to test the actual beauty..show casing womans beauty to the world really degrades woman especially wen indian womans r concerned..so if some of these rounds of beauty contests r modified and if more importance is given to our culture then beauty contests definitely help in upliftment of womanhood..thanku

I think beauty contests never degrade women if the contest gives importance to the character of the person.beauty doesnt meant for physical apperance .The procedure of the contest should not expose the women in an odd way to the society..
