Hi My opinion on technology is that it is a boon to us. We have developed a lot in all the fields with the help of technology. When compared to a decade ago, we can see the impact of technology.In IT field , many software firms have been set up which is an advantage to many of us. Technology is so advanced that we are able to talk from any part of the world . So I do feel that technology is a boon to us.

Thats good sriya . Why dont you explain few disadvantages like Nuclear weapons , Cloning etc etc .. ?

Technology must be used in a right way , we can see the result of nuclear bombs which were dropped on Hiroshima n Nagasaki .This stands as an example to the misuse of technology.The use ofTechnology leads to good result when used in a proper way.

TECHNOLOGY - Its Advantages & Disadvantages



In this era where science and technology are making leaping
bounds and enabling other fields also to progress rapidly , there is an
interesting need to learn and assimilate more along with analysing
its appropriate use .



Well wat not it has brought temendous changes in Information
sector , starting from radio to mobile phones we have evrything today
rite at outr door step.. Becos of changes in ROBOTICS we have got
machines capable of replacing humans in work as well as house
hold activities .. Robots are doing many things wat humans cant . I wd
also put my views reg

internet technology which has connected people around the world .. With
the development of ecommerce today we can view entire market in global
arena , we can shop , choose , purchase as well bid .. jus by sitting
at home or where ever u like ... Technology has improved even in
banking sector ... well with the help of debit/credit cards we can take
money for our use not by waiting so many hours in banks and taking
money. Well even a small baby starts thinking ab computers today ..
Thatz how things are ..

Well man has craeted all those things which are
usefull yet al the beautiful things he has craeted is killing himself
or used for destruction of humanity.

U name of Nuclear weapons destroying the third world nations . Once
such thing to be discussed is Anthrax a Virus infected many
people few years before ..One of most terror even SEPT 11 attack
on US . its a war on terrorism ... Clean destruction of humanity .. wat
they acheieved ultimatly .. Iraq , afganisthan has been deprived alot
... , Many people were killed , many resources have been captivated my
other nations, Well it ultimately lost stability ....

Well i wd suggest that wat ever we
develop ... we shud have people who contribute their social
rsponsibilty to wards the world ..We have not right to take lifes of
innocent people ..

in a few decades world has developed so much that now it is easy to take ur whole world along with u.


everything from a pc to a cellphone is so easy to operate that any one who don't have enough knowledge about the tecnology is using it.advancement made in networking field esp Internet isto such an extent that it had brought whole world to ur doorsteps.By cellphones we r now able tocommunicate withany person,anywhere in the world in a flash of a second.nuclearenergy if used constructively canmake wonders.development in s/w fieldenabled people topay their bills,shop anything,reserve tickets etc.from their home.enhancement in field of astronomy has enabled scientists to get latest info aboutchanges going on inspace.they can keep a check on global warming,depletion of ozone layer, whether conditions n other things likea tsunamior an earthquake or a hurrican etc n thus prevent disasters.


But everything has a negative effect,same is the case with advancement in tech.development of nuclear weaponscan pose a threat to world peace.cellphones with camera thoughenable u to captureeverymoment of ur lifebutbecoz of this there is a threat to private life ofothers.people now spend most of their time sitting in front of PCdue to which they r having health problems,don't go out much ,socialize very less.they r so depressed that they need toattend laughing clubs to destress themselves which was uncommon earliar.


At the end i would like addthat if used constructively tecnology can createwonders but if misused it would destroy everything.

Technology has many advantages as our friends mentioned earlier.AndMaking it anadvantage or disadvantage solely depends on our hands.There are many advantages in the fields of IT,Medical,communications ,economy ,etc....and many more to say.
Coming to disadvantages let us consider the example of mobile phones .These are very useful to the extent we use them to communicate with people.But recently the provision of internet on mobiles resulted in access to illiegal areasmore easier.Similarly the actual purpose of Nuclear energy is to produce electricity,But the invention of nuclear wepons is threat to world peace.
So finaly technology asonly advantages if we use them is right way.

Advancement in technology has its own advantages & disadvantages.


As per advantages the growth of technology reduces the need of human resources.As we can sit in one place & chat with our family members ,friends staying in abroad at low cost.We can also reserve air ticket from anywhere in the world.We r sending satelite to another planet &doing some researchthere.It has its own disadvantages also.This advancement oftechnology reduces time spending with people instead spending more time with with machines.This causes more stress .Nuclear weopons were used to destruct the humanity.It destroys the peace of the country.


so,It is in the hand of us to make it more advantageous

I think technology has only benefits , it is the man who is misusing the technology . There are many examples which prove technology as a good friend to Human Beings . As Keerthi told " the actual purpose of Nuclear energy is to produce
electricity " ,But man is misusing it to harm others . Let us take an example of mobile phones , which were actually developed for people to people communciation But now some people are using it for some illegal things (MMS) .

Science has advanced so much that we are now able to create our own clones . We have developed machines replacing Doctors. Medical science would be handicapped if technology is not there . Just think our life with out electricity . We are now so dependent on technology that we cannot live with out it .

Take example of any field ..be it Banking , Education , Medicine or R&D , technology is playing a major role in development of these areas . Give me an example where technology is harming people by itself .. IT is the man who is opearting technology to harm others .

Closing this , I would like addthat if technology used constructively can createwonders but if misused it would destroy everything. So finally I conclude that technology hasonly advantages if man uses them in the right way.

yes i totally agree with what all my friends has said technology has developed alot which has reduced the hectic works of the men like computers, mobile phones etc....


There are many advantages of these technologies but as there are two sides of a coin there aredisadvantages also firstly i would like to talk abt the positive side i mean the advantages there are many uses of computers now a days eveything has been automated and computerized so which has reduced the head ache of the people and work will be so efficient and accurate compare to the work which is done manually.


Even one can be atany place and can speak to any one in the world but now most of the people are misusing it so today there is no privacy for any one.


But these camera phones are very useful in sting operations where they are showing the truthabout the police, ministers etc which is making people aware of them.

Well friends,

As u all said, the technology gives advantage. i agree that and also gives some disadvantages also.
1.) now a days many people affected by mental stress and leads to death also.
2) mens life time is also reduced. in 20th century people r like to live 100 years. but now a days people are said "like to live 50/60 years".
3) now a days, many of the person felts to unsatisfied with sleeping. they take to sleep using tablets, sleeping beds, hearing some musics. so men takes to sleep also in technology.
4) in future men may be spent full day with machine itself( to eat, both, sleep, and so on....).
5) Now a days people also suiside due to mental distortion.

so friends the technology will give nearly 50% advantages and 50% disadvantage also.

Every Coin has its two face one is good another bad. It is totally up to us how we want to use that.


If every one of us were asked a question that aren't we happier than our father and grandfather as long as Technolgy is concerned? I believe every one will come out with one answer, that is yes . With the cutting edge Technology every thing became easier to us . We can see the world , can communicate with any person from any corner of our world. Even we are able to control the nature to a little extent. With the great advance in Medical science every epidemic can be wiped out.


But obviously the black side of technology also become a threat to human life as the technolgy went into the hand of some evil.


But If every body has given the knowledge about the Proper use of Technology i believe it will be a boon to Human being and nothing else.
