Hi All,

Well, i dont say that an illiterate child is a curse to a society, but he is a burden and the reason for the backwardness of the society, even the society is responsible for illiteracy, a child can not go to school by him/her self, the society should make it as mandatory for a child to go to school.

Yes,definitely I agree .An illiterate child is a curse to society as he can't do anything constructive in this fast paced world where there is nothing without basic knowledge.Even people who are literate you find them doing odd jobs these days !!So, a illiterate child in society is a bane and he should be taught atleast till 10th standard.In some countries the education is free and the government bears the responsibility.This underlines the importance of literacy.
