    Skin Care: Winter Care Tips

Wintertime is a time of the year, there are people who like to stay inside, and there are people who like to go out and enjoy the snow and the cold. When going outside in the winter it can irritate the skin. You will want to know winter skin care tips to get you through the winter with good and healthy looking skin. Here are some things to do for good winter care tips.

    • Winterproof your skin: In the winter, use a humidifier in your room to keep the air moisturized. This will also help keep your skin from drying out and becoming cracked.

    • Help for winter hair: In winter, use an oil based moisturizer and use it daily. This helps to keep your skin moisturized in the winter when skin can become dry and cracking.

    • When going outside make sure to wear layers of clothes. During the winter with all these layers, your body tends to sweat more. With layers, you are able to remove a layer when you become warm. Sweat can damage your skin; therefore, it is best to remove layers as you warm up.

    • Winter sun protection: If you come in from outside and have wet clothes on from the snow, make sure to get them off right away so the sweat does itch or irritate the skin.

    • Protect your skin while on the piste: Even in winter, before going outside put on sunscreen that contains a lot of moisturizer in it. Put this on for any exposed skin. This helps when you are outside for a long periods of time while helping keep the skin healthy against harsh winds and such in the winter.

    • Take warm and short showers. The longer the shower and the hotter the water you strip your skin of oils. So, make sure the shower is warm and short.

These winter care tips for having great skin care are something you want to take in mind when going out in the winter and protecting your skin. Winters can be harsh and cold, so you want to take every winter care tips you can get. Your skin is harmed by the warm dry heat you have in your home during the winter as well. It is best if you use a good moisturizer every evening before retiring.

Re: Skin Care: Winter Care Tips

Hello friends, its nice that I finally got to understand the reason of my skin being so rough in the winter despite the applications of moisturizers/oils. We all tend to think we know how to take care during the winter but as I see it was not known to me bathing in hot water for long can do the damage to the skin. Would be careful henceforth and thanks to you for making me aware of this.
