can any one tell me what is the main difference between Weblogic, Websphere and tomcat

what is the difference between application server and webserver

Hi Deepthy,
Application Server which has Transaction management, activation and deactivation of services.
Web Server doesn't support these things, they only support web services
Tomcat is a Web server
WebSphere and WebLogic are Application server
For Example, EJB.
