can we have without jar file in ear file

Hi all\

can any one tell ,does we incorporate JAR without WAR or WAR without JAR into EAR file ,is it work

Hi Krishna

As far as I know, An EAR can contains a WAR file without a JAR file, no problem will be there, but whereas a EAR without a WAR file is not a J2EE application, since you'll be keeping all your JSPs,Servlets and other htmls , and other stuff in a WAR file it should be compulsory bundled into an EAR file. Whereas EJBs and other stuff can be bundled in a JAR, as the EJBs are optional in ur application(if ur using EJBs,its compulsory), the application server accepts the EAR without JAR also
