Friends, Can anybody explain me How the transactions are done in internet banking using Java?

hello radhika (nice name),

As the banking applications are often developed in EJB ,,and in EJB transactions are managed automatically on behalf of container u no need to bother about that....just keep ur mind relax.....as the EJB has some attributes because of what it is highly prominant...i.e. Transaction management,Persistensy,Security ,,,
all the functions are made by container......

is it ok ?
or if u neeed more to know ,,

But the answer is not sufficient, Ravi.

The Interviewer asked me to explain it How exactly the transactions are done in internet banking?

For example, From one account to another account how funds are transferred ?

This question he asked me to explain it,Which I was failed to explain it.

And the second question was:

What is the Gateway used for your Banking Application?

These are the two questions which I could not answer.

If you have any experience in the Internet banking project,I need your Help very urgently.

I hope u r doing good,

The questions he was asking about was , about the transactions that happen between bank - bank, or internal bank transfer, credit,debits etc, like that he was asking about the business rules involved and not about the container transactions or something else.

And the other question is about the gateways, gateways are nothing but a brokers between organizations to transact/communicate between the financial transactions etc etc.
u take a best example of ur online railway reservation booking(IRCTC Online Passenger Reservation Site.) , in this case u make a payment via a credit card, then it will be asking for whether to select ICICI bank payment gateway or citibank payment gateway or hdfc payment gateway etc etc.. , If you are using a citibank card, then u select citibank payment gateway and via this gateway ur transacted money details will be credited into the railways account.

The same way you have different common payment gateways like Paypal, cybersource, and some others.. these will be working the same way as i have told you.
