Question java book help

HI all ,i'm a beginner in java and want ur suggestion about a good book for
CORE JAVA ,as i'll get herbert shield from library so i want to pursue any
other good book esp. one having lots of examples to clarify things .the book
should cover all the pros and cons of CORE JAVA.

i've heared about a book for java by C.THOMAS WU .can ne 1 tell me
about this book?? i really need ur suggestion

Hi ruku,

well, i dont know about the book u mentioned but i think Khalid Mughals java certification is the best book for java, it has got indepth analysis on java and its internals...

and also try to go for wrox publicaiton book, i think the author is "ivor hortons"..
