Google Reply By Chat

It was mentioned on the Google blog that a new feature has been rolled out by them - 'reply by chat'. With this you can now reply to messages sent to you by email through their GMail Chat option if the contact is online.

The chat history will also be saved accordingly, with the button being placed next to reply and forward options in the message window

yes, u r right. This feature is available for quite sometime!
