hi harini, Yes it is the very common question which we can expect in an interview.I also dont know exact way how to impress the interviewer by answering to such questions. But as per my knowledge and experience the following may work out. Suppose the position for which u have applied for is related to software field then definetly u would have certain exposure in that area.Let us say in c,c++,oracle, etc. Try to master ur self in one particular field so that u can answer any question related to that.Definetly in 70% of the tech interviews they will questions only on our fovourite subject, that is were we can prove our selves And convince them that u can perform well in this field also. Tell them that hence u have applied for that position to prove ur skills . I request more sugessions from others . regards. keerthi |

Hi harini, my answer is u convince them that apart from ur subject U know some thing about the other subject also [subject which u have applied for]. As u said u can prove it by answering tech. part. And say confidently thatU r flexible enough to perform well in that field also. |

hello ya
why to worry when ever ur going 4 an interview u will know what their requirements are right . jus emphasize how the field u studied will help in different area also if it doesnt match tell them Sir ! i have liked this area since my graduation , i have got so and so capabilities , and im a fast learner , gud analytical skills .as well as my hardworking nature will stand against compitition .. jus emphasize ur positive points .. many interviewrs try to deveiate us but be firm with ur points and convince them at any cost .. that will be enough since all they look for a person who can learn at every phase in their job .. and u can cope up .. thatz all ya bye sowmya
