Is correct to leave corrunt job and go searching in US?
hi,
i got h1b through third party consultant in US. The consultant's procedure is first to land in US and look for job, and once i get job then only my salary will start till then no salary. but they said they will look after (food, accomodation) till we get job. Is it correct way of doing it? is there ample of opportunities for a tester(manual) or a fresh automation tester? can anyone please respond to me on this? thanks, boro. |

Re: Is correct to leave corrunt job and go searching in US?
If you are in a good company it is not a suggested way. Also, I heard that the min experience companies will ask in US is 3 - 5 years depending on technology. Otherwise, there are no openings. Another big problem is, now US market is in trench. So openings are very less. Not sure how much time it will take to come out of that situation.
Earlier what I heard from my friends and relatives based on their friends experiences is that, consultant will take care of you only for few months (max 3 - 6 months). If you don't get job in that time, he will leave you to your way for your living. He will not pay a single dollar. So you will end up in accepting small jobs. Better is, get H1B individually and try out for US openings. That is safer than approaching through consultancy. But if that consultancy is suggested by your close friend or relatives who has already did what you are doing now, then you may trust him to some extent. But if some suggested that consultancy by what they have heard from others, then it may not be a trust worthy information. Think carefully before taking decision. Thanks, Krishna
